GENERAL PRICE LIST These prices are effective as of October 1, 2016 but thereafter subject to change without notice.The goods and services shown below are those we can provide to our customers. You may choose only the items you desire. However, any funeral arrangements you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead. If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide describing the funeral goods and services you selected.

PROFESSIONAL SERVICES BASIC SERVICES OF FUNERAL DIRECTOR & STAFF                                                                          2,000

Our fee for the basic services of funeral director and staff includes, but is not limited to, staff to respond to initial request for service; arrangement conference with family and responsible parties; arrangement of funeral; preparation and filing of necessary authorizations and permits; recording vital statistics; preparation and placement of obituary notice; and coordination with those providing other portions of the funeral, e.g., cemetery, crematory, vault companies and others as required. Also included in this charge are overhead expenses relative to our facilities such as sheltering of remains, professional licensing, legal and accounting fees, insurance, building and utility expenses, parking lot and grounds, maintenance, taxes, equipment, furnishings, inventory costs, record keeping, and secretarial and administrative expenses

This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you select. (This fee is already included in our charges for direct cremations, immediate burials, and forwarding or receiving remains.)

 

SERVICES AND FACILITY FEES

Visitation at the Funeral Home or Church: Our services will include set up of visitation, use of visitation area, placement of encased remains, display of floral arrangements, parking lot assistance, and supervision and attendance during the visitation.

Our services include coordinating the funeral arrangement at graveside, supervision of the graveside service, and equipment and staff necessary to conduct the graveside service.

  • Memorial Service....................................................................... 500

Our services include coordinating the memorial service, supervision of the memorial service, staff to attend memorial service, and set-up and use of facilities for memorial service.

 

EMBALMING

Except in certain special cases, *embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial.

* Embalming is not required by law however, it is our policy that if a family chooses not to select embalming, a private viewing must be held within 24 hours and remains must be buried within 36 hours, or incur extra charges for refrigeration.

The charge for a direct cremation includes basic services of the staff, transfer of remains, local transportation to crematory, securing and filing legal documents, courier vehicle, refrigeration of remains for up 24 hours and crematory fee. This charge does not include the use of facilities and staff for any visitation or ceremony, public or private, prior to the cremation. If you want to arrange a direct cremation, you can use an alternative container. Alternative containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials (with or without an outside covering). The containers we provide are wood cremation caskets and fiberboard boxes.

The charge for direct body donation includes basic services of staff, removal of remains,, courier vehicle, transportation of remains to funeral home within a 25 mile radius and to Medical School in North Carolina within a 100 mile radius. This charge does not include the use of facilities and staff for any visitation or ceremony, public or private, prior to burial.

DISINTERMENT/REINTERMENT ……………………………..…1,500

The charge for disinterment/reinterment includes: securing all necessary paperwork and signatures; registering legal documents with local health department;  a licensed funeral director to oversee all work and to be sure remains are handled with utmost respect. This fee does not include the cost of  grave digging fees, necessary equipment and manpower to disinter and re-inter the vault, or mileage fees charged by the vault company.
