Mrs. Delphia Danley Kennedy, age 92 of Carthage passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at her home. 

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday at Summer Hill Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Arnold Comer. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall following the service. 

A native of Surry County she was the last surviving child of the late Arthur and Bertha Carlyle Danley. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Rufus Russell Kennedy and five brothers and sisters. 

Mrs. Kennedy was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother and grandmother. 

She is survived by her sons Rufus Russell Kennedy, Jr. and wife Freda, Richard "Ricky" Lee Kennedy and wife Gail all of Carthage; two grandchildren Tara Phillips and Shannon Kennedy. 

Memorials may be made to Summer Hill Baptist Church cemetery fund, 663 Summer Hill Church Road, Carthage, NC 28327.
