Florene Yarborough Craft, 82, of New Braunfels, Texas died Sunday June 10, 2018 at Methodist Medical Center Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.

There  will be a visitation at Zoeller Funeral Home, 615 Landa St, New Braunfels, TX 78130 on Wednesday June 20, 2018, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. A funeral service will be held at Oakwood Baptist Church,  2154 Loop 337, New Braunfels, Texas on Thursday, June 21, 2018, at 11:00 A.M. Burial service will follow at Fort Sam Houston Cemetery in San Antonio at 1:15 P.M.. Following the burial service, there will be a reception at Oakwood Baptist Church at 4:00 P.M.

Florene was born in Raeford, North Carolina to the late Loney William and Viola Wright Yarborough and moved to Pinehurst, North Carolina at a very early age , where she lived and attended school graduating from Pinehurst High School after twelve years without missing a day. Later that year she married Robert E Craft on November 21, 1954.

True to her name, Florene means “Flowering in bloom.”  She lived, by one of the greatest Biblical principles: Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friend.”  John 15:13.

In addition to her parents Florene was preceded in death by her brother William H (Buddy) Yarborough of Maxton, North Carolina and brother in law Tommy Prickett.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years Robert E Craft, children David Jefferson Craft and wife Maggie from Carthage, North Carolina, Robert W (Bobby) and wife Molly Craft of New Braunfels, Cynthia Lynn (Cindy) Craft  of New Braunfels, sisters Jean Yarborough Prickett of Carthage, North Carolina, Barbara Cortez Southers and husband Richard Southers of San Antonio, grandchildren Nicole Craft, Danielle and husband Cody Bass of New Braunfels, Katherine (Katy) Craft of Kentucky, great grandchildren Emmalee Wetz, Cooper Bass and Jasper Dyal all of New Braunfels.

She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Florene, your work here on earth was well done, may you rest in peace now in the loving arms of our Lord Jesus Christ.
