Frances Wilson Scott, 78, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2019 at her home, surrounded by her family.

Funeral Services will be 3:00 PM, Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Bible Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Pastor Rex Knight and Pastor Hubert McLeod  officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 2:00 PM and at other times at the home.

Frances was a native of Martinsville, Va. She worked at an Insurance Company, Ithaca Industries and Lucks Incorporated.  Frances also cared for her grandchildren, which was her favorite job. She loved the Lord and attending church, where she sang and played the piano for over 50 years.  Frances enjoyed working around the house and spending time with her family. She was the daughter of the late William and Esther Martin Wilson and was preceded in death by granddaughter: Abbie Scott and 4 siblings.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Robert: son: Rodney and wife Joanne, daughter: Kim Bates and husband Tracy; grandchildren: Dylan Bates and wife Shannon, Lane Bates, Jordan Scott, Alison Bates, Jayden Scott; sisters: Gayle Cox, Shirley Long, June Pruitt, Magdalene Donavant; many nieces, nephews and friends.

The family would like to say a special thank you to FirstHealth Hospice staff and Stephanie Chriscoe for their help during their mother’s illness.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to: Bible Pentecostal Holiness Church,  311 Browns Chapel Road, Robbins, NC 27325 or FirstHealth Hospice, 150 Applecross Road, Pinehurst, NC 28374.
