Mary Sue Gardner Garner 67, passed after Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, August 1, 2019 at  Flint Hill Baptist Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM.

A native of Moore County, she was a loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. Mary enjoyed flower gardening, listening to gospel music and reading her Bible.  She worked in food service and for Moore County government. Time spent with her family was very special to her. Mary was a daughter of the late Theodore and Julia Bodford Gardner.

Mary is survived by her husband of 52 years, James “J L” Garner;  children: Jerry “Pnut” Garner, Daniel Garner, Kathy Garner Long, Jeffery “Bud” Garner, Mark Garner, George Garner;  extended family including siblings, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends..

Carthage:
Mary Sue Garner, 81 of 10004 Hwy. 24/27 died Thursday, February 28, 2008 at Pinelake Health & Rehab, Carthage.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM. Sunday, March 2, 2008 at Putnam Friends Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Larry McEntire officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Garner was a native of Moore County, and was a retired employee of Robbins Mills where she worked for 35 years. She also worked at High Falls Elementary School for 7 years.
Surviving are: her husband, Neuby Garner of the home.
Daughter: Betty Sue Worsham of Lugoff, SC.
Brothers: Leon Mashburn of Seagrove, Joe Mashburn and Jerry Mashburn both of Carthage.
3 grandchildren 3 great " grandchildren
The family will receive friends 6 " 8 PM. Saturday, March 1, 2008 at Kennedy Funeral Home, Robbins and other times at the home.
